Ingredients

  • 1 c green beans
  • ¼ tsp minced garlic
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 TBSP dried cranberries
  • 2 TBSP sliced almonds
  • ¼ c red onions
  • oz. of orange or lemon juice
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Steam green beans at medium high heat for 10 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a small skillet over medium heat.
  • Add green beans, red onion and salt; cook and stir until tender, about 2 minutes. Add garlic and cook another two minutes.
  • Add almonds and cranberries; toss lightly to combine.
  • Pour orange or lemon juice over the green beans and season with the pepper. Continue to combine. Green beans should be tender. Be careful not to overcook.
