Dr. Taylor Harrison is an associate professor in the Department of Neurology, Emory University. He is the Program Director for the Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship and serves as the Director for the Grady Health System’s Electromyography Laboratory, which is accredited by the American Academy of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM). He is board certified in neurology by the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry as well as in electrodiagnostic medicine by the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
Dr. Harrison received a B.A. from Princeton University in 1994, and received his M.D. at the University of Louisville in 1999. He completed his neurology residency at Emory University in 2003 at which time he served as chief resident. After residency he completed a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology (2003-4) with emphasis in neuromuscular disorders as well as a T32 Fellowship in Clinical Research in HIV/AIDS (2004-6). He has been the recipient of a junior investigator award from the Neurologic AIDS Research Consortium and has received funding support for research projects investigating the epidemiology and analgesic therapy of polyneuropathy in HIV/AIDS. His clinical interests include neurological complications of infectious disease (with emphasis in HIV/AIDS), clinical neurophysiology (EMG), and neuromuscular disorders.
