Dr. Lakshmi S. Tummala, MD, FACC is a cardiologist at Grady Memorial Hospital and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine. She received her undergraduate and medical degrees from Northwestern University’s Honors Program in Medical Education. She then completed her internal medicine residency and chief residency at New York University and her cardiovascular disease fellowship and chief fellowship at Georgetown University. She joined the staff at Grady in July 2020, where she currently serves as Medical Director for Emory at Grady Ambulatory Care Cardiology. Dr. Tummala has clinical and research interests in cardiac obesity and cardio-obstetrics. Additionally, she is currently pursuing her Master of Education in the Health Professions and works to advocate for women in medicine.
