Dr. David S. Yu, MD, PhD, is a board-certified radiation oncologist in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Yu practices general radiation oncology and specializes in the treatment of head and neck cancer and breast cancer. He treats patients at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University and Loughlin Radiation Oncology Center at Grady. Dr. Yu’s research work is focused on understanding how cells respond to DNA replication stress and, more generally DNA damage. The goal of Dr. Yu’s work is to translate insights gained from interactions with his patients and his research in the laboratory to innovative therapies to improve the quality of care for patients with cancer. He serves as Director of the Division of Cancer Biology in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine.
