Ashley McCann, MD is a board-certified Family Medicine physician with subspecialty training in Sports Medicine. A Chicago native, Dr. McCann graduated from Spelman College in 2007 before earning her medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine.
She completed her Family Medicine residency at the Cook County-Loyola Family Medicine Residency Program in 2016 and pursued a fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at Emory University in 2017. Currently, Dr. McCann serves as an assistant professor of Family Medicine at Morehouse School of Medicine and is the Chief Medical Officer of Sports Medicine for Morehouse College. She also directs the Sports Medicine rotation in residency and actively participates in several committees focused on advancing sports medicine education and practice. Her commitment to excellence in both clinical practice and academia makes her an invaluable asset to the Morehouse School of Medicine and Grady Health System communities.
