Vote by Mail

Registered voters can request a mail-in ballot by visiting mvp.sos.ga.gov. It can take several weeks to process your request and mail a ballot to you. If you want to vote by mail, please make your request early.

Vote Early In Person

Early in-person voting begins on Monday, October 15, 2024. Visit mvp.sos.ga.gov for polling locations. Remember to bring a valid photo ID, such as a driver’s license, passport, or voter identification card, to the polling place.

Early in-person voting ends on Friday, November 1, 2024.

Things to Know

The General Election is Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

To register to vote in Georgia, you must:

  • Be a citizen of the United States
  • Be a legal resident of the county
  • Be at least 17 1/2 years of age to register and 18 years of age to vote
  • Not be currently serving a sentence for conviction of a felony involving moral turpitude
  • Have not been found mentally incompetent by a judge
