Dr. Kalapila does outpatient HIV and Hepatitis C care at Grady’s Ponce De Leon Center and also attends on the inpatient infectious diseases consult service and the special immunology service at Grady Hospital. Her clinical and research interests focus on the treatment of Hepatitis C in HIV-infected individuals. She is actively involved in medical education activities with the Emory residents and medical students. She also is the associate editor for the HRSA funded National HIV Curriculum, an online learning platform for healthcare providers in the United States to improve core competency knowledge for HIV prevention, screening, diagnosis, and ongoing HIV treatment and care.
