Dr. Jeremy D. Ackerman, MD, PhD, FACEP

Dr. Jeremy D. Ackerman completed his MD and PhD in Biomedical Engineering at the University of North Carolina. He completed residency in Emergency Medicine at Stony Brook, and joined the faculty of the Emory University Department of Emergency Medicine. He holds a joint appointment in Biomedical Engineering, at Emory University and the Georgia Institute of Technology. He has applied his clinical and engineering expertise to a variety of collaborative efforts including development of a novel platelet function assay, exploring the impact of acoustics in healthcare settings, and the US domestic entry screening process during the Ebola crisis.
