Grady Receives Top Stroke Award

Grady Health System is a 2017 recipient of the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association Get With the Guidelines – Stroke Gold Plus Award. Recognized for its continued success in using the guidelines, and its success in the Target: Stroke program, Grady achieved honor roll elite plus status for offering the most up-to-date evidence-based treatments to improve patient care and outcomes.

As a Joint Commission certified Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center, Grady’s Marcus Stroke and Neuroscience Center is improving outcomes for hundreds of stroke patients each year. The Get With the Guidelines-Stroke and Target: Stroke programs honored Grady for its outstanding stroke measures and its door to needle time for IV Alteplase, the FDA approved medication for dissolving blood clots.
