Dr. David R. Powell, MD

David R. Powell, MD, is a Family Medicine Physician and serves as Medical Director of multiple clinics within Grady Health System. He specializes in comprehensive care of a wide range of conditions and has a special interest in the treatment of Diabetes and Hypertension. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biology at Howard University in Washington, DC. He then earned his medical degree at the Howard University College of Medicine prior to completing his residency at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA. He is an active member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and is a diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine. He enjoys reading, exercising, and spending time with his family. He firmly believes in establishing a firm partnership with patients to help them achieve the best possible outcomes for their health.
