Dr. Ann-Gelle Carter is double board-certified in family medicine and obesity medicine. She earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. She completed a residency in family medicine at Kaweah Health in Visalia, California where she also served as chief resident.
Dr. Carter also holds a Master’s degree in Medical Sciences from Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana, and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. She is also an active member of the National Medical Association and American Academy of Family Physicians, where she serves as Vice Chairperson to the Georgia Academy of Family Physicians membership committee.
Dr. Carter specializes in family and obesity medicine, which means she treats patients of all ages from childhood to adulthood. Her scope of practice offers a wide range of services, including treatment for acute illnesses, health maintenance services, chronic disease management, annual physical exams, women’s wellness, weight management, and more.
