Walk-in waits can be long. Call for an appointment. If you have a medical emergency, call 911 or visit the closest emergency room.

Depending on where you are making your appointment and whether you are a new or returning patient, there are slightly different steps you need to take:

If you are a patient who is new to Grady, and...

You want to make an appointment at a Primary Care Center	You want to make an appointment at a Hospital Specialty Clinic	You want to make an appointment for a radiology procedure
Call the center directly.	Obtain a written referral from your Grady doctor.	Obtain a written referral from your Grady doctor.
	Wait 3 business days after you get your referral, and then call (404) 616-5800 to schedule your appointment.	Wait 2 business days after you get your referral, and then call (404) 616-5800 to schedule your appointment.

If you are a patient who has been seen at Grady before, and...

When to Arrive

Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. If you arrive after this time, you may be asked to reschedule.

What to Bring

Please have the following for EVERY visit, including your first visit:

Insurance (Private, Medicare, or Medicaid card)
Valid Government-issued Picture Identification (Driver's License, Passport, Consulate ID)
Co-payment (consult your insurance provider)

Grady accepts private health insurance, Medicare, Medicaid and workers' compensation. Grady Health System accepts cash, check, traveler's check, money order, Discover, Visa, MasterCard and American Express for payment.
