Grady Neurology Specialists to Present at International Stroke Conference

Key members of Grady Memorial Hospital's Marcus Stroke and Neuroscience Center team will be presenters at the 2012 International Stroke Conference to be held in New Orleans, LA, Feb. 1-3. Emory University School of Medicine faculty at Grady Interventional Neurologists Dr. Raul Nogueira and Dr. Rishi Gupta, and Vascular Neurologist Dr. Aaron Anderson, will discuss their latest research findings. In addition, Marcus Center Program Director Karen Seagraves and Center Outreach Manager Kerrin Connelly will be presenters at the event. Organized by the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association, The International Stroke Conference provides a forum to spotlight recent scientific work related to cerebrovascular disease.

Drs. Nogueira and Gupta, acclaimed neurologists with specialties in Endovascular Neurosurgery, Neurocritical Care and Interventional Neuroradiology, will each lead several abstract presentations during the conference.

Vascular neurology specialist Aaron Anderson will join his co-authors for a discussion of the REGARDS study: Use of Stroke Prevention Medications in Self-Reported Stroke/TIA.

Karen Seagraves and Kerrin Connelly will also join their co-authors for the presentation of their abstract, Tracking Inter-hospital Transfer Process to Reduce Time from Initial Presentation to Neurovascular Intervention in Acute Stroke.
