Make an Appointment

If you have a medical emergency, you should immediately dial 911 and ask to be taken to Grady.

But don’t make the mistake of taking a non-emergency medical condition to the emergency room. You’ll only get stuck waiting as caregivers focus on patients who need immediate treatment. Instead, get a doctor’s undivided attention by calling (404) 616-5800 for an appointment.

Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled appointment time. Late arrivals may have to be rescheduled.

Grady accepts private health insurance, Medicare, Medicaid and workers’ compensation. Grady Health System accepts cash, checks, traveler’s check, money orders, Discover, Visa, MasterCard and American Express for payment.

Bring the following items to every appointment:

  • Your photo ID.
  • Your health insurance plan card.
  • Your prescription insurance plan card.
  • Referral or authorization forms.
  • All current medications in their original containers.
  • Any outside medical records, X-rays, or prior test results not taken at this hospital (if your physician has requested them).
  • Any questions you have for your doctor.
  • ALWAYS follow ALL directions regarding food and drink before your appointment or your test may be rescheduled.
